reports the Cape Horn main copper showing is located on a logging cut adjaceant to the Dunn Creek access road. This showing is located 600m east of the Highway, 11Km north of Nakusp (ARIS 21289). Strong Cu mineralization probably chalcopyrite with skarn like alteration in a metavolcanic suite.
Assays were as high as 3.14% Cu. Earlier reports mention Cu mineralization in 3b shear zones in dioite the widest being 1.2m wide. The property is located on the western margin of the Jurassic Kuskanax batholith composed of largely aegirine-augite quartz monzonite (GSC Open File 432). The first records of work prospecting was in 1903, of a low grade copper ore assaying 8% Cu (Minister of Mines Annual Reort 1903). # drill holes were drilled in 1960 (47m). In 1979 and 1982 Cold Lake Resources explored for uranium. From 1990-1996 Brenda Mines followed up the dicovery on the Dunn Ck access road (3.14% Cu, with weakly elevated Au and Ag). !n 1997 Phelps Dodge found rocks with 5.7% Cu, and 48.4 gpt Ag. In 1999 Crest Geol. Consult. collected 26 rock samples (2.3% Cu in sample 10590). From 2005 to 2011 more exploation was carried out by Zappa Resources Inc., and Bravura Corp. 8including soil and rock Geochemistry, and Airborne Geophysics.
For the South Showing 082KSW214 located 1.27Km south of the claim, Bravura Ventures Corp. referenced a chip sample at the occurrence that graded 1.07 percent copper, and 6 grams per tonne silver (Kerr, J. (2011-02-10): Technical Report on the Greenhorn Property).
