The Lincoln Ag/Pb Mine – Kaslo MCX Claim; Tenure 1129811 (2 Cell), GTD: In Application on 2026/Feb/03.
The Lincoln is a small past producer and is located on the south side of Robb Creek, a tributary of the Kaslo River. It is 22.5 kilometres west-northwest of the town of Kaslo, British Columbia.
Hostrocks of the Lincoln occurrence includes the metasediments of the Triassic Slocan Group. Mineralization is hosted in limestone where fissures intersect a 15-metre thick limestone bed with overlying slates. Ore does consists of galena and lead carbonates carrying good silver values. The gangue is heavily decomposed and has iron oxide staining.
Workings consisted of an adit and surface exploration as well. Attempts to crosscut this zone at depth proved unsuccessful. Two years of recorded production from 1918 and 1922, did yield 50 tonnes of ore containing 82,143 grams silver and 26,248 kilograms lead (Or 1642.9gpt Ag, and 525gpt Pb). In addition 33 to 44 tonnes of clean galena and some carbonate ore also were extracted during the summer of 1918 (Minister of Mines Annual Report 1918, page 164). A forest fire did completely destroy the camp buildings in 1925.
