The Gold Dove Tenure 1039080 (1 cell) Expires 2026/Oct/04, and the Tenure 1121957 (2 cells) expires 2026/Mar/18. The prolific Lardeau Creek has produced gold for over a hundred years including from fine grained to nugget and larger sized gold. Hilights of the Minfiles includes; The Silver Belt MF that reported some very high grade samples that have assayed over $500 were found (See the Map on the Right for more Details). And for the Gus #3 + #4, Last Chance MF reported NW striking quartz veins crossing the Lardeau Creek a few hundred meters east of its’ junction with Ottawa Creek. And the vein did consist of quartz carbonate that had galena, pyrite, and sphalerite. And some grab samples rich in sulphides were reported to have produced high precious metal values (EMPR ASS RPT. 12179) 1983. And the Culkeen MF describes a placer deposit located above the falls and below Ten Mile Creek. And in the 1890’s some shafts were sunk in a bench on the bank of the Lardeau Ck a short distance below Ten Mile and placer gold was found. Then in the 1890’s Peter Culkeen did considerable work trenching, sluicing, and hydraulicking above the falls but below Ten Mile with only small amounts of uneconomic (In the 1890’s) gold recorded. Also the gold was assumed to be from a local vein source.
