Badshot Mine MCX

Badshot Mine MCX – Tenure 1119369 – 4 Cells, GTD: 2026-Jan 23. The Badshot MF reports the areas was first explored in the 1890’s where lenses of high grade lead-silver were found in a quartz vein in a limestone host rock. an inclined shaft was dug in 1896 for 30m and 54.4 tonnes of select ore was prepared for shipment. The ore assayed 7714gpt Ag, 75% Pb, and a little Bismuth.

Then in 1904 25tonnes was produced with 6068gpt Ag, and 56% Pb. 2 more shipments were reported in 1914 of 20 tones with 5383gpt Ag, 56% Pb, + 4.6% Zn. The other was 29tonnes of 6069gpt Ag, and 56% Pb. By 1929 the working were in bad condition

and had been deserted for many years. The Badshot area has a similar structural + stratigraphic setting to the adjaceant Black Prince (MF – 082KNW034). In 1914 at the foot of a bluff along a NW trending contact, a quartz vein 0.9m wide and contains a 0.2m wide high grade pay streak, that narrows to depth but continues to bear high grade shoots. In 1914 select coarse grained galena samples assayed 4800-4944gpt Ag, and 80% Pb. The fine grained galena assayed 11833gpt Ag, and 69% Pb. The later probably contained some tetrahedrite.
