Production from the Kangaroo Past Producer – Surficial Placer MF from 1886-1895 was 8553gms Au (~276 oz Au). And as has been publisized for the area, Supergene leaching by deep Tertiary weathering, and followed by Cenozoic erosion is most likely the cause of coarse Au nuggets found in Quaternary sediments in the area (Exploration in BC – 1989, p.147). And in 1995 a mineral sample assayed; 6gpt Au, 13.5gpt Ag, + 0.204% Cu. In 1986 a chip sample had 1.14gpt Au over 1m (ARIS 14956). In 2002 Barkerville Minerals collected 24 till samples, and in 2019-2020 Kore Mining collected rock and soil samples.
